A phase diagram including orthorhombic to pseudo-tetragonal structure change, antiferromagnetic ordering and superconducting transition is presented for Bi2Sr2Cal\_zYzCu?OR~. In the case of substitution for Cu in Bi2Sr2CaCu2084KS, Fe suppresses superconductivity more effectively than Ni.

✦ Synopsis
A polycrystalhne sample of BhSr2Ca 0 aYe)2Cu20 a + ~ was prepared by a solid state reaction method The effect of annealing temperatures on T¢ both m oxygen flow and secondary vacuum were investigated using a.c. susceptlblhty measurements The onset of T~ increases from 60 K to 82 K as a result of oxygen anneahng. The results obtained are explained on the basis of a small change in oxygen content and/or average oxidatton state of copper
