## Abstract **Summary:** Peroxidase‐catalyzed oxidative polymerization of phenol has been examined using the template, poly(ethylene glycol) monododecyl ether (PEGMDE), in water. The role of this template, which forms a complex with phenol in the polymerization, was verified by UV measurements. Dur
