โœฆ Synopsis

Arkoma launches organic catalyst

Arkoma has unveiled Oxymoron S100, an organic oxidation catalyst that is completely metal-free and has a nitrogen-type polymer structure. The catalyst can direct the selective oxidation of primary alcohols into aldehydes, controlling the formation of the corresponding acids and transforming secondary alcohols into ketones. Potential applications include cosmetics, flavours and fragrances, food, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.
