✦ Synopsis

Abstract

We report on the first observation of χ^(3)^‐nonlinear lasing effects – efficient high‐order stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in LiH~2~C~6~H~4~SO~3~ · H~2~O and α‐Ca(HCOO)~2~ single crys‐ tals. We classify these materials as promising SRS‐media for Raman laser converters with many large frequency shifts. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
