In picosecond speckoscopy transient obsorptian methods are utilized to measure ground-state repopulation kinetics. Since linearly polnrized light pukes from made-locked lz_cers arc used. the transient absorption characteristics in solutions arc governed by the rotational diffusion of the absorbing molecules, too. The theory for isotropic difCJsion is given and compn-red IO ;1 measurement on the rhodnminc 6G molecule dissolved in solvents of different viscosity using ;\ novel pulse spectrophotometer.
