## Abstract The new compound 3โ(__tert__โbutyl)perhydroโ1,5,3โdithiazepine has been synthesised from 5โ(__tertโ__butyl)perhydroโ1,3,5โtriazinโ2โone in 45% yield. In the reaction, urea acts as the leaving group being exchanged for the SโCH~2~โCH~2~โS fragment of the product.
