## Abstract The new compound 3โ€(__tert__โ€butyl)perhydroโ€1,5,3โ€dithiazepine has been synthesised from 5โ€(__tertโ€__butyl)perhydroโ€1,3,5โ€triazinโ€2โ€one in 45% yield. In the reaction, urea acts as the leaving group being exchanged for the Sโ€CH~2~โ€CH~2~โ€S fragment of the product.
