## LOUATf The dependence of fracture and twinning stresses on the orientation of the tensile axis in the rolling plane of grain-oriented 34% silicon steel has been determined at 78°K. Twinning mechanisms of fracture nucleation are not consistent with these data, nor is a normal stress criterion ap
