The surface-enhanced Raman spectrum (SERS) of 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) in DMF solvent as a function of exciting line indicates that the enhancement peaks with excitation near 19 X IO3 cm-'. Also, a shift in vibrational frequencies occurs as the potential is varied from -0.8 to -1.8 V versus AglAgCI, wi
