✦ Synopsis
Optical absorption, emission and excitation spectra and fluorescence decays of Ce3+-doped GdAlO, single crystals are presented. Ce3+ and Gd"+ energy level schemes were determined and the influences of various transfer processes on Ce'+ fluorescence decays or fluorescence intensity are qualitatively discussed.

## Abstract Using the micro‐pulling‐down method, (Ce,Sr)‐doped PrAlO~3~ square‐shaped single crystals (4×4×12 mm) were grown. Structural parameters studied by X‐ray powder diffraction were consistent with R3m space group. Compositional homogeneity was checked with electron probe micro‐analysis and
Absorption and emission spectra of Tm^3+^in YAlO~3~and GdVO~4~single crystals are reported and analyzed. Lifetimes of^1^G~4~(22 μs)^3^F~4~(5.1 ms) states in YAlO~3~and^1^G~4~(16 μs)^3^F~4~(2.3 ms) states in GdVO~4~are measured, Fluorescence decay curves of blue and infrared emissions are also been g
