The X and A states of the sodium trimer may be treated as rigid asymmetric rotors of C 2Β£ symmetry. The B state, however, is a floppy molecule where the three sodium nuclei can perform a pseudorotational motion in the molecular plane. A recently developed model Hamiltonian for the B state is applied
The /I-doubling transitions for the J= I .5 rotational level of the X 2n,,2 state of gas phase copper monoxide, 63Cu0, has been recorded using microwave-optical double resonance (MODR) techniques. The low-frequency microwave radiation was introduced into the sample via a tri-plate transmission line.
