We report on continuous-wave violet-blue light generation by direct frequency doubling a laser diode in a ZnCd(SCN) 4 crystal. 10.3 mW second harmonic generation light at 404 nm is generated with a fundamental power of 1.46 W incident on 3-mm-long crystal. The d 14 , d 15 nonlinear optical coefficie

## Abstract A timeβdomain nonlinear model representing the propagation of ultraβshort optical pulses in dispersive materials containing second order nonlinearity is presented. The model accounts for material dispersion through Lorentz model in addition to the spatiotemporal coupling between the pul
