Abstract
We propose a novel optical correlator employing an OptoβVLSI processor in conjunction with an array of fibre Bragg gratings with different Bragg wavelengths for optical header recognition. The recognition of 5βbit optical header patterns is experimentally demonstrated at 2.27 Gb/s. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
