The opt/ca/constants of CO 2 cryodeposit were measured in the wavelength range from 2. 5 iJrn to 21.4 IJ[n below 90 K. The peak assigned to the Q branch of v 3 which grew largely at lower temperatures was found and was considered to show that the linearity of the molecule was broken due to the incre

β¦ Synopsis
The optical constants of 1-120 cryodeposits in the infrared region are measured at 180 K, 150 K and 77 K for hexagonal ice, and at 107 K, 77 K and 14 K for amorphous ice, by a new experimental method. The data of normal reflectivities for different film thicknesses are analysed by the Lorentz model to determine the dispersion parameters. The hemispherical-total absorptivities of the metal surfaces covered with H20 cryodeposit are calculated and they show a rapid increase with film thickness.
