✦ Synopsis

Now the spin triplet superconductivity in Sr 2 RuO 4 is well established. As to the nodal structures seen in high quality samples, there are two alternative models at present: a. 2D f-wave model with DðkÞ $ ð kx AE i ky Þ cosðck z Þ and b. the multigap model with D 1 ðkÞ $ ð kx AE i ky Þ and D 2 ðkÞ $ ð kx AE i ky Þ cosðck z =2Þ. In this paper we calculate the optical conductivity for T ( T c in the 2D f-wave model and show that it differs significantly from those in the multigap model.

Enhanced superconductivity in the eutectic system Sr 2 RuO 4 -Ru is referred to as the 3-K phase of Sr 2 RuO 4 because of its enhanced superconducting transition temperature T c of $3 K whilst the superconductivity in Sr 2 RuO 4 (T c of $1.5 K) is called the 1.5-K phase. We describe basic properties
