The formation of electrostatically linked mixed pentamers of porphyrins and porphyrazines is reported. The photophysical properties of two mixed complexes of well-defined stoichiometry are investigated, using femtosecond laser spectroscopy coupled with pump-and-probe technique and steady-state irradiation.
