Aggregation operators based on a fixed t-norm and on suitable transformations of processed data are introduced. A special attention is paid to the class of iterative compensatory operators containing also the classical arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means. Several properties of introduced operat

✦ Synopsis
Given a t-norm T and the corresponding biresiduation *--*r. An operation K fits the latter (or shortly, is fitting) if *--*r is respected by K in all its arguments. In this paper, the structure of fitting operations is investigated. Special attention is paid to the case of basic t-norms. The connection between the fitting property and the Lipschitz property is stressed. Some examples are given. (~) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Generalizing the construction of weighted quasi-arithmetic means for t-norms and t-conorms, we have proposed a new class of weighted means. This class is extended to weighted triangular norms-based aggregation operators, including weighted uninorms, nullnorms, gamma operators, etc. Note that the nor
A number of open problems on triangular norms and related operators was posed during the 24th Linz seminar on fuzzy set theory "Triangular norms and related operators in many-valued logics" held in February 2003. They are collected here, together with some other open problems in this context and wit
Fuzzy predicate calculi are powerful tools in analyzing topics of Zadeh's agenda, such as fuzzy modus ponens, compositional rule of inference, fuzzy functions and fuzzy control, etc. So far, however, predicate logics which are complete with respect to the semantics over [0; 1] are rather scarce. In
