Initially the plant consisted of two streams -A and B, each having an output of 240 tonnes/day.
Five subsequent units of similar capacity (C to G) increased the nominal output to. a total 1680 tonnes/day. This additional capacity was to have a significant effect on the operation of units A and B in terms of the output required.
All units use sea water feed with a recovery rate of 30%. The A and B trains have a designed total feed requirement of 1600 tonnes/day.
