The pretreatment methods which can be used to make a water suitablc for satisfactory processing in a reverse osmosis plant are discussed. This discussion is followed by case histories of plants operating on various waters in the Middle East from normal brackish waters to very strong brackish water (12,000 mg/l T.D.S.) containing H2S, and mobile plants for treating brackish and sea waters.
