magnified image An efficient, convenient, one‐pot synthesis of imidazo[1,2‐c]quinazoline‐5(6__H__)‐thione and imidazo[1,2‐c]quinazolin‐5(6__H__)‐one was accomplished in good yields via the novel reductive cyclization of 2‐(2‐nitrophenyl)‐1__H__‐imidazoles with isothiocyanates or isocyanates mediated by SnCl~2~·2H~2~O system.
