✦ Synopsis
This is a study of a model consisting of interacting Ising spins (s = ~) and v-dimensional classical spins (v arbitrary but finite) on one-and two-dimensional lattices. The model was introduced by Falk for v = 2. For the one-dimensional lattice (open chain) the partition function and the two-spin static correlation functions are calculated exactly, and it is shown that there are no boundary effects. For the two-dimensional model equations are given for the transition temperature and the magnetization. * Work partially financed by the Brazilian Agencies CNPq and FINEP.
