โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

A nanotechnology technique for biophotonics applications is proposed and simulated. The comparison of transmittance spectra of the twoโ€dimensional photonics lattices with different dielectric constant of the circular rods or holes, which show slab structures of twoโ€dimensional photonic lattices composed of a triangular or square array of circular rods or holes, are obviously feasible to be applied for biosensing in labโ€onโ€chip applications. ยฉ 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We describe the calculation of photonic band structures of two-dimensional lattices made of more than one dielectric array. In particular, we study a face-centered graphite (fcg) structure obtained by an arrangement of two sets of cylindrical rods, one located at the vertices of regular hexagons (gr

Electric field patterns in finite two-dimensional wire photonics lattices are investigated by means of electromagnetic simulations. These studies reveal a strong analogy with the envelope wavefunction approach extensively used for semiconductor superlattices. Several propagating eigenmodes in the pa
