A simple and efficient temperature controller suitable for experiments at cryogenic temperatures is described. The controlling efficiency in the temperature range from 77 to 300 K has been found to be better than + 20 inK.

Combining thermal anchoring with electrical insulation, an important problem common to many cryogenic devices, is considered. An explicit and fairly simple mathematical solution concerning thermal heat sinks is presented. A procedure for estimation and calculation of the efficiency of thermal ground
