## Abstract Fatty acids in a diverse array of sample types can be derivatized and profiled using reactive pyrolysis – gas chromatography (RxPY), which is, in essence, thermally assisted hydrolysis and methylation. Both solid and liquid samples are analyzed directly. When m‐trifluorophenyltrimethyl
