Unrestricted SCF h4O~caIcuI~tions in the INDO approximation lead to.a satisfactory explanation for the absence. of a detectable hyperfine interaction between the unpaired electron and the unique-rgFnudeus of tile radical SF,.

They thus support the reassignment of an EPR spectrum that was first attributed to the rad$aI cation SF4f to SFs.
