โฆ Synopsis
It is suggested that the chirality number of Hug and Surbeck is unsatisfactory, mainly because it does not accord with the convention for positive circular polarization if the principle of reciprocity is invoked. A reversion to the original deftition of the circular intensity difference is proposed.
