It is well known that a number of solutions may coexist in non-linear systems. Therefore, a complete solution diagram is very important in solving non-linear vibration problems in order to ensure that all possible solutions have been sought. This paper is aimed at seeking solution diagrams by means

โฆ Synopsis
Non-linear phenomena in the vibration of a square plate subject to lateral forcing are studied. Starting from the dynamic analogue of the von Kaยดrmaยดn partial differential equations that govern the motion of the plate, a system of second order non-linear ordinary differential equations are derived. Using the IHB method, a numerical bifurcation analysis is performed in which interaction between spatial modes is examined. A number of diagrams of resonance curves and bifurcation are presented.

This paper presents the dynamic responses of the coupled textile/rotor system by finite element analysis. When textile is wound either on or off the rotor, the system is non-conservative because mass, inertia and eccentricity of the unbalance of rotor change with time, and also the length of textile
