Abstract
The aim of the paper is to elucidate the problem of the regular changes in the properties of fโelements represented by the doubleโdouble effect. It is pointed out that because of the halfโfilled shell and doubleโdouble effects the fโelement properties cannot be plotted as a linear function of the Lโquantum number, as suggested by Sinha [1][2].
