β¦ Synopsis
An important result in a static marketing channel is that the manufacturer can reach the vertically integrated channel solution through the use of a two-part wholesale price. This means that the collectively optimal solution is achieved in a decentralized way, i.e., as an equilibrium. This paper investigates under which conditions this result remains valid in a static marketing channel where demand also depends on players' advertising. Second, it shows that different results are reached when one considers a dynamic marketing channel.

The paper investigates the nature of dynamic prices and expectations in a competitive market. The approach is applied to the U.S. beef market, which exhibits cyclical patterns and signi"cant biological lags in the production process. Beef price equations are estimated under di!erent expectation regi
The unusually large field and pressure dependent low temperature resistivity of the heavy fermion superconductor UBel3 is interpreted as possible evidence for two-channel Kondo lattice physics. Analytic results are obtained for the resistivity of the two-channel Kondo lattice in a particular infinit
