Abstract
The problem of deriving a suboptimal LQG controller which is internally stable is considered. In the case where the controller is internally unstable a procedure is given for modifying the optimization parameters, i.e. the state weighting matrix and/or the process noise intensity. Sufficient conditions for controller stability of appropriately modified optimization problems are given for both the fullβorder and reducedβorder cases. A final tuning procedure is then used to minimize the deviation from the original LQG problem.

In this paper we show that if a certain class of nonlinear systems is globally asymptotically stabilizable through an n-dimensional output feedback controller then it can be always stabilized through an (n-p)-dimensional output feedback controller, where p is the number of outputs and n is the dimen
There are at least two approaches advocated to obtain a pure H β reduced-order dynamic controller for a given augmented plant. One approach is to eliminate completely the H 2 aspect from a standard H 2 =H β setting. A second approach is to equate the H 2 aspect with the H β aspect in that same setti
