In this paper we investigate equivalences between an efficient solution of a bicriteria program and a lower envelope point of a certain image set of the bicriteria program. We also employ various kinds of approachabilities to characterize efficiency and proper efficiency for nonconvex bicriteria pro

β¦ Synopsis
The efficiency of object-oriented programs has become a point of great interest. One necessary factor for program efficiency is the optimization techniques involved. This paper presents the performance of several variations of a given C t t program and compares them with a version that uses no objectoriented features. Our result indicates that some object-oriented features in C t t are not well optimized in current C t t compilers. We thus discuss some code optimization techniques that can improve the efficiency based on the given C t t program.

Cache performance in modern computers is important for program efficiency. A cache is thrashing if a significant amount of time is spent moving data between the memory and the cache. This paper presents two cache thrashing examples, one in scientific computing and one in image processing, both of wh
A major problem for the integration of concurrency in object-oriented languages is the so-called inheritance anomaly, i.e. the conflicts between inheritance and concurrency that often cause the need to redefine inherited methods in order to maintain the integrity of objects. Several solutions have b
## Abstract The application of hydrolases in organic solvents for synthetic purposes is a procedure routinely adopted in organic chemistry, especially for the preparation of chiral building blocks. Numerous studies have shed light on several aspects of the mechanism of hydrolase action in lowβwater
