The authors establish the boundedness of some sublinear operators in weighted Herr spaces on Vilenkin groups under certain weak local hypotheses on the size of these operators at the identity. This class of operators includes most of the important operators in harmonic analysis on Vilenkin groups. T

โฆ Synopsis
On a general principle and its application to superposition operators in ORLICZ spaces By GOTTFRJED BRUCKNER of Berlin (Eingegangen am 28. I . 198 1) A general local-global conclusion principle for a class of function spaces is presented. E.g., superposition operators in .&-spaces that have a property like boundedness, continuity, uniform continuity, Hijlder continuity, monotonicity, uniform monotonicity on a fixed ball, can be shown by this principle to have the same property on every other ball. Besides, the method also gives quantitative assertions such as estimates for the bound, the continuit,y modulus, the H ~L D E R constant, and so on.
