Abstract
Off‐diagonal component of magneto‐impedance tensor with pulse excitation is very promising for high sensitivity magnetic field sensor applications. We report novel results on studies of off‐diagonal MI effect and magnetic properties in amorphous glass‐coated microwires with nearly‐zero and negative magnetostriction constant and metallic nucleus diameter ranging between 6 μm and 10 μm. Off‐diagonal impedance tensor ζ~φz~ (H~ex~) has been investigated in ultra‐thin amorphous glass‐coated microwires in as‐cast state and after Joule heating treatment.
