## Abstract The mass spectra of O‐ethyl‐O‐aryl‐phenylphosphonothioates are investigated and discussed. Besides direct classical fragmentation (α‐fissions), migration of both an aryl group and a double bond occurs between sulphur and oxygen prior to fragmentation, resulting in some unexpected m/e va

Abstract
A series of 27 O‐alkyl‐O‐aryl‐phenylphosphonothioates was prepared and studied by I. R.‐ and N. M. R.‐spectroscopy. The I. R.‐spectra gave typical vibrations: P‐O‐alkyl, P‐C~arom~ and P‐O‐C~arom~. Shifts in stretching frequencies were related with electronic properties of the substituents.
