## Abstract Twoβphoton activation of photoactivatable green fluorescent protein (PAβGFP) provides a unique tool for probing cellular transport processes, because activation is strictly limited to the subfemtoliter optical volume of the twoβphoton spot. We demonstrate twoβphoton activation of PAβGFP
