Abstract
A novel compact narrowband bandpass filter (BPF) using coplanar waveguide (CPW) with an efficient slow‐wave structure is presented. The folded open stub is used as loaded structure for the filter design with the merit of better slow‐wave factor. Additionally, this filter achieves a sharp transition band (TB) and 5% bandwidth at 2.4 GHz with 60.67% reduced factor. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract An ultra‐wideband (UWB) bandpass filter is proposed based on the hybrid structure of microstrip and coplanar waveguide (CPW). First, the detached‐mode resonator is formed on the CPW layer, which composes a quarter‐wavelength (λ/4) multiple‐mode resonator (MMR) with a short‐stub and a λ/
GHz. For this reason, the spacing t was selected to be 1.0 mm for the prototype constructed here. The radiation characteristics of the constructed prototype were also studied. Figures 7 and8 plot the measured radiation patterns at the center frequencies (2442 and 5500 MHz) for the 2.4-GHz and 5.2/5
