Pericosines A (1) and B (2), and macrosphelides E -H (3 -6)have bccn isolated, alongwith known macrosphelide C (7), from a strain ofPericonia byssoides originally scpiratcd from the sea h~ Aplysia /aa'odai, and their stmc~ur~ have been Β’stablish~ on the basis of spectral ~,mlyses. Compounds I and 2 exhibited significant inhibitory activity in vitro against turnout cells, and the former also showed significant in vivo turnout-inhibitory activity.
