The complete theory for the electromagnetic solution of the canonical representation of a coplanar integrated circuit structure is pro¨ided in the regime of moderate nonlinearity of a ferroelectric film sandwiched between a superstrate and a substrate. The solution is ¨alid for both second-and third-order polarization effects turned on. The relationship to earlier work with only third-order polarization present is gi¨en.
