If the transmission wavelengths of the FαP filter are changed, one, two, and three lasing wavelengths can be generated, respectively. The lasing wavelengths are dependent on the saturation output power of the EDFA in different wavelengths. The range of the lasing wavelength is over 7 nm. The loss in the fiber ring cavity is not a key element to generate multiwavelength lasers or a single laser.
