Substance P is known to be a potent histamine liberator for mast cells. The influence of antianaphylactic agents, disodium cromoglycate (DSCG), ketotifen, and tranilast was studied on substance-P and compound 48/80-induced histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells. Substance-P induced histami
