Testosterone, progesterone, and estradiol-17P each inhibit CAMP phosphodiesterase activity of mouse oocyte extracts in a concentrationdependent manner. This finding provides an explanation for the inhibitory effect of steroid hormones on germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) of mouse oocytes in vitro. F
