Magnesium corrosion under anodic polarization in Cr03-H20based solutions. It is shown that in solutions under study the metal unilormely dissolves in the presence of sulfuric aad, the magnesium mrrosion rate being decreased with decreasing potential of the electrode. With hydrochloric and perchloric acids the mrrosion rate rises and a negative differential effed is observed. The metal dissolves to form pitting on the electrode surface. As the anodic polarization and activating ion concentration in solution grows pitting increases in amunt and size. Graphs. 8 ref.
