Dispersion polymerization of acrylamide in tert-butyl alcohol (TBA)-water media (TBA 50 vol %) using poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME) as the stabilizer and 2,2Ј-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as the initiator at 50°C has been studied. The conversion-time curve shows autoacceleration taking place from
