The intromolecular charge transfer spectra of six crown ethers, namely 15C5, B15C5, 18C6, B18C6, DB18C6 and DC18C6 acting as donors, and iodine, acting as an acceptor, were studied in the UV-vis region in methylene chloride. The complex formation constants were computed. The results indicate that bo
