## Abstract The ^15^N NMR spectra of ten isocyanates, four isothiocyanates, and four __N__‐sulfinylamines have been obtained at the natural‐abundance level by high‐resolution NMR spectroscopy. The results show that isocyanates and isothiocyanates have ^15^N chemical shifts over 200 ppm toward highe

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Nitrogen‐15 NMR spectra of 11 ketenimines have been taken both at the natural‐abundance level of ^15^N and with the aid of ^15^N‐labeling. The nitrogen chemical shifts are substantially different from those of neutral imines and are upfield, more like those of protonated imines. The results are in accord with significant delocalization of the nitrogen lone‐pair. Furthermore, there is a rough parallelism between the ^13^C shifts of the terminal carbons and the ^15^N shifts.

## Abstract The ^15^N NMR spectra of several substances with nitrogen—nitrogen bonds have been obtained at the natural‐abundance level by high‐resolution NMR spectroscopy. Azo (NN) nitrogens are 300–500 ppm deshielded compared with hydrazo (NHNH) nitrogens. The sensitivity of the ^15^N shifts
%S and I4N NMR spectra of nine sulphnr-nitrogen compounds are reported. It is demonstrated that "N NMR gives high signal-to-noise spectra with good discrimination of chemical shifts. It is concluded that both I4N and "S NMR can make a useful contribution to the study of sulphur-nitrogen chemistry an
