✦ Synopsis

Enantioselective addition of Griguard reagents to methyl 1,3-diphenylallyl ether in the presence of Ni(0)-phosphine catalysts is reported. Kinetic resolution (79 %¢e) observed in the addition of MeMgBr has important implications for the mechanism and further development of this reaction as a valuable synthetic reaction.
