New version of Spiraltrac introduced for packed pumps

The SpiralTrac Version P Insert has been introduced to provide improved flushing for packed pumps compared with the usual lantern ring.

This device is designed to reduce the flush by using the flow and centrifugal effects around the rotating shaft. Particulate is captured and guided away from the bottom packing ring, to reduce sleeve wear. It can provide some support for shaft deflection, while removing abrasives from the stuffing box. It is available in both split and solid configurations, and a wide combination of materials. Only the insert element itself, not the holder, requires occasional replacement.
