✦ Synopsis

Starting from hexafluoroacetone-protected malic acid O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated and O-,N-diglycosylated (S)-isoserine derivatives have been synthesized. The new compounds represent glycosylated b-alanine surrogates, i.a. suitable for b-peptide modification.
