European Chemical News,10 Dec2001, 75(1985),26 ICI India to acquire IiLL's nickel catalyst business ICI India Ltd and Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) have signed an agreement facilitating ICI India to acquire HLCs nickel catalyst business for a sum of Rup 210 M. The acquisition, funded mainly by internal accruals, will include HLCs catalyst manufacturing facility at Taloja, Maharashtra along with its 70 employees. The catalyst business records annual sales of Rup 200 M. The acquisition is a part of ICI India's strategy to focus on its core business besides widening the product range of its existing catalyst business.
