## Abstract The aim of this study has been to examine the possibility of preparing __thermotropic__ aqueous gel networks that exhibit multiphase transitions in connection with changing the transparency of the system depending on temperature variation. As polymers polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and ethoxyl

✦ Synopsis
Ahstraet-Copolyethers were prepared by ring-opening polymerization of two oxiranes, ethylene oxide (EO) and ally1 glycidyl ether (AGE), in a high-pressure reactor vessel. The random distribution of AGE units in the copolymers prepared by an anionic route, results in a marked decrease. of the crystallinity as well as of the melting point. Free-radical initiation of the solvating copolymer improves the mechanical properties while reducing still the crystallinity and melting point. The cross-linked electrolytes provide high conductivities from ambient temperature.

A new series, Tribol NC-X fluids, has been introduced by Pfizer Ltd to increase their range of synthetic lubricants. The base fluids of this series are chemically identical to those of the NC series, made available at the start of 1967, but the addition of 0.5% of specially selected oxidation inhibi
