The occurrence of three aromatic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons in Reunion vetiver oil is reported for the first time. One of these was identified as a-calacorene. The others were found to be new compounds. Spectral and gas chromatographic characteristics as well as the results of hydrogenation and dehy

Abstract
The four new sesquiterpene ethers 7β,10β‐epoxy‐4β__H__‐eremophila‐1,11(12)‐diene (4), 10β,11‐epoxy‐4β__H__‐eremophil‐1‐ene (5), 4α,7‐epoxy‐10β__H__‐spirovetiva‐2,11(12)‐diene (6) and 6α,12‐epoxy‐7β__H__,10β__H__‐spiroax‐4‐ene (8) were isolated from the unpolar part of the Haitian Vetiver oil and characterized by their spectral data.

## Abstract An extract of roots of __Ligularia persica__ yielded thirteen umbelliferone sesquiterpene ethers, among them the new ones ligupersin A (11) and ligupersin B (13).
A medium polar part of commercial Haitian vetiver oil was investigated, particularly with regard to carbonyl compounds. The following new natural compounds were characterized by their NMR data: 1,7-cyclogermacra-1(10),4-dien-15-al (1); 10-epi-acor-3-en-5-one (3); 10-epi-acora-3,11-dien-15-al (4); (E
